My change of life, from being an accountant to being an organic
What started it? I did accounting studies, and started working as an accountant. But my partner and I wanted a calmer life, closer to nature, more in touch with our personal convictions. Two years ago, we managed to gather enough money to give our dream a try: changing life completely and setting up as farmers. So we bought a small property in the countryside, a couple of animals, and we launched our own organic farming business.
What are you doing today? Today we
both manage our small businesses. My husband takes care of the animals
and I handle selling the goods we produce on markets. True, we don’t
earn as much as we used to, but we are ten times happier.
Any advice? You know the saying “money can’t buy happiness”? Well, it’s true for us. Granted, our savings allowed us to achieve our dream earlier, but it was only a matter of time before we settled in nature. Meadows as far as the eye can see when you open your window —that’s priceless. Every single day we’re glad of the choice we made.
